The short version
The calculators run entirely in your browser. The figures you type are never transmitted to us, because there is no server to transmit them to. This is a static site.
That matters more here than on most sites. An assessment value, a parcel’s square footage and a list of comparable sales identify a specific house. So does an appliance inventory. We never receive any of it.
What is stored on your device
If you use a calculator, your last set of entries is saved in your browser’s local storage so the page is not blank when you come back — which matters when you have gone to find an assessment notice or read the nameplate on a water heater. It stays on your device, we cannot read it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Your figures may also appear in the page URL so you can bookmark or share a result. That URL is only shared if you choose to share it — take care, since it contains the numbers you entered, and on the property tax tool those numbers describe your home.
Advertising
This site carries third-party display advertising. Ad providers may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure and personalise the advertising you see, and they act as independent controllers of that data. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
Where required, a consent notice will be shown before non-essential cookies are set, and declining is a genuine option that does not restrict your use of the calculators.
Analytics
Aggregate traffic measurement may be used to see which pages are read. It is not used to identify individuals and it is never combined with anything you type into a calculator.
What we never do
- Ask for your name, address, parcel or account number, or email.
- Sell, rent or pass your details to appeal firms, ADU builders, electricians, lenders or lead buyers.
- Email you. There is no mailing list, because there is no sign-up.
Children
This site is intended for adults making decisions about property they own or are considering buying, and is not directed at children.
Your rights and contact
